The English team has become one of the best ones in the White Ball game. Having pinch hitters and all-rounders is a big advantage for the team and the England team is making the best out of it. In big tournaments, the team plays to its real potential.
The efforts put in to prepare a match-winning team after the 2015 World Cup disaster made wonders for the team and the England team won the 50-over World Cup in 2019. Though the rules played their role in this England team deserve the mighty trophy.
The Jos Buttler-led team is showing its potential in the ongoing T20 World Cup too and reached the finals. In the semis played against India, the Buttler men put up a match-winning performance and crushed India by 10 wickets. The English team continued its all-round performance in the finals that played today.
The English Bowlers showed their depth in the finals and restricted the Pakistan team for just 138 runs. Pakistan lost eight wickets to score the runs. England bowlers took wickets at regular intervals
Young speedster Sam Curran took three wickets in four wickets by concluding just 12 runs. Adil Rashid was also economical and took 2 wickets for 22 runs. Chris Jordan also took two wickets.
