T20 World Cup: India Hold Nerves And Crushes Bangladesh
By: Tupaki Desk | 2 Nov 2022 1:17 PM GMTToday's match between India and Bangladesh in the ongoing T20 World Cup was nothing short of an edge-of-the-seat entertainer. The weather forecast said there might be rain. However, there was no rain during India's innings. But the rain gods did play a cameo when Bangladesh was in a good position.
When Bangladesh was at 66 for 0 in 7 overs there was rain at Adelaide. Indian fans were worried about the match as Bangladesh scored more than it required as per the DLS. If the rain would have not stopped Bangladesh would have been declared the winner.
As a twist in the tale, the game started with the match restricted to 16 overs and the target was 151. The Indian camp started things in style with the run out of Litton Das. KL Rahul's brilliant throw sent Das to the pavilion.
When Najmul Hossain Shanto was looking dangerous, Shami sent him back with a beautiful delivery. After a lot of twists and turns the equations took the match for 20 required off the last over.
Rohit Sharma gave the bowl to Arshdeep Singh and the young bowler kept his nerves and concluded just 14 runs making India win the match by five runs. India will now lock horns with Zimbabwe and will reach the next level.
India posted a big target of 184 for six on the scoreboard with the heroics of KL Rahul and King Kohli who scored half-centuries. SKY and Ashwin played some quick cameos.
