Taj Mahal - Not a Hindu Temple!

Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma informs Lok Sabha that Government of India haven't found any evidence showing Taj Mahal was a Hindu temple. He gave this clarification in the form of a written reply to a declaratory suit filed in an Agra Court stating Taj Mahal should be declared as a Hindu temple offering Hindus the right to worship.
The Union Minister maintains there was absolutely no impact on tourism due to the controversy related to Taj Mahal.
Responding on the 'Award Wapsi', Mahesh Sharma said eminent writers have returned Sahitya Academy awards in protest against the crimes against the writers. He also adds Sahitya Academy convened an special executive board meeting recently to appeal the writers to reconsider their decision.
About 39 Writers have returned Sahitya Academy awards in protest against growing intolerance in the country.
