Talasani Srinivas Yadav Indirectly Addresses Nandi Award Row!

Awards are seen as a parameter of excellence in actors and technicians. Almost every state has its own awards for films and TV. Andhra Pradesh has Nandi Awards and since 1964, the awards have been given. There are four categories in the Nandi Awards. But everything went upside down after the state bifurcation.
Nandi Awards are landing in some or other controversies. During 2014-19, there are allegations that only a few heroes are preferred while giving awards. Adding fuel to this, veteran Tollywood producers Adiseshagiri Rao and Aswani Dutt made some shocking comments on the Nandi Awards and said that the governments are not interested in giving the awards.
Now Talasani Srinivas Yadav made some interesting comments on the Nandi Awards. Without taking any names, the Cinematography Minister said that no proposals came to the government for the awards and there is no need of telling the government what to do with the awards.
The Cabinet Minister said that no one asked for the Nandi Awards and awards cannot be given casually when they ask for. Adding further, Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the Nandi Awards will be given from next year and the procedure is underway.
Usually, the procedure is such that a concerned committee will pick the films in various categories and send the names to the government for the awards. Due to various reasons, the awards are not happening in both states. Moreover, the Telangana government has been positive to Tollywood and supported the industry during the Covid. However, Nandi Awards are not being given no one knows the answer to this.
