Tamil Nadu CM O Panneerselvam resigns?

If the buzz in political circles and on social media is to be believed, Tamil Nadu CM O Panneerselvam has submitted his resignation to AIADMK General Secretary Sasikala Natarajan. The decision has been taken following the statements of three AIADMK Ministers and Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Thambidurai seeking Sasikala to lead the state government as well along with the party.
Tamil Nadu BJP Youth Wing Vice President SG Suryah tweeted: 'Breaking: TN CM O Paneerselvam submits resignation letter to AIADMK General Secretary Sasikala'.
O Panneerselvam is known to be the loyalist of Jayalalithaa. He was sworn-in as CM when Amma was sentenced to prison on two occasions. On the day of her death, AIADMK MLAs had unanimously elected him as Legislative Party Leader. Panneerselvam himself recommended Sasikala Natarajan for the post of AIADMK General Secretary. May be, He is pained by the campaign to elevate Sasikala as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
However, Neither Panneerselvam nor Sasikala Natarajan has confirmed the reports of resignation so far.
