Tand-up Comedian Munawar Faruqui Gets Bail Finally!

The top court of India, Supreme Court heard the petition and granted interim bail to the stand-up comedian today. The Court has also directed the Madhya Pradesh government to hold his arrest warrant.
The Apex Court is satisfied with the arguments of the counsel who represented the comic. The counsel told the court that the advised procedure was not followed in this case.
The lawyer has also said that 41 CrPC was not followed in this case and his client has been harassed. He sought directives from the court to cancel the FIR reports filed against the comic.
Going into detail, the comic and four others were arrested on the 1st of January. These arrests were made on the grounds of allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindus during a comic.
After his arrest, the comic has knocked on the doors of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. But his petition was rejected by the court in all three instances.
