TCS & Infosys violating H-1B Visa Norms: US
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 April 2017 4:20 PM GMTTrump Administration accused TCS, Infosys and Cognizant of violating the H-1B Visa norms.
US alleges Indian IT Majors TCS, Infosys and Cognizant have been obtaining majority of H-1B Visas by placing extra tickets in the lottery system. The logic is simple - These Indian companies apply for large number of H-1B Visas so that they have good chance of bagging as many as possible due to the lottery system.
The White House points out that Average Wage of H-1B Visa holders among these three companies is anywhere between $60,000 to $65,000. Whereas, The average wage of Silicon Valley Techie is around $150,000.
An official of Trump Administration says, Only 5-6 percent of H-1B Visa holders command a high salary. As many as 80 percent of them are paid even less than medium wage.
