Insult to NT Rama Rao Statue

Some miscreants have thrown Roselle (Gongura) on the state of former chief minister late NT Rama Rao in Maddirala of Chilakaluripeta mandal, Guntur district. TDP Activists who came to know about it on Sunday staged a protest. A rasta-roko was staged on Chilakaluripeta-Kotappakonda Highway. Rural SI reached the spot and promised appropriate action against the people who insulted the Legend. NTR's statue was cleaned with milk by TDP Workers.
TDP Leaders allege YSRC Activists could be behind the act which should be seen as showing disrespect to Telugu's Pride. They say YCP has conducted anti-TDP Campaign 'Gadapa-Gadapaku' on Saturday night and it was then they threw Roselle at the idol.
Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao alleged YSRC Leaders has stopped to such a level as they were unable to digest the welfare and development programmes of TDP Government. He accused YCP of lacking the vision and its Leaders of losing the faith of the people.
