TDP Biggies Go Silent Ahead Of Municipal War
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 March 2021 4:33 AM GMTPost the massive reversal in the panchayat elections, the TDP leaders across the state are in a mood of despondency. Many of the key leaders have become passive in Andhra Pradesh.Several leaders are not even taking the municipal elections seriously. These leaders are not being seen in the election campaign.
The situation is worse in Guntur and Krishna districts, which are considered TDP citadels. Former minister Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao suffered a massive reversal in the panchayat elections and is not being seen active in the municipal elections. Another key minister Prattipati Pulla Rao is spending most of his time in Hyderabad and did not take active interest in panchayat elections. Ditto with Ganta Srinivasa Rao. Former MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, considered a powerful leader, is completely down after his wife lost the panchayat elections. Even Yanamala Ramakrishnudu faced reversals in his borough of Tuni. In Tondangi mandal, the TDP was completely routed. He is said to be finding it hard to get candidates to contest for Tuni municipal council.
Similarly, ministers China Rajappa, Jyotula Nehru of East Godavari, Maganti Babu and Thota Seetamahalakshmi of West Godavari too are deep hibernation. The less said about former minister Narayana the better. He is completely inactive these days. The situation is much the same in Rayalaseema too, where biggies like KE Krishna Murthy and Bhooma Akhila Priya are fighting their own battles. On the whole, the TDP presents a picture of dejection, despair and despondence.
