TDP groups attack each other in Sattenapalli, Cops disperse fighting cadres

Rampant groupism in the Sattenapalli TDP came to the fore when two groups within the party clashed and attacked each other. They tore the flexis and the banners of each other on the issue of erecting banners and flag to mark the party's foundation day which falls on March 29.. The police entered the scene and dispersed both the groups.
Sadly, the TDP top leadership could not take a decision on who would be the constituency incharge. There are at least four leaders, who are trying to emerge as the party candidates for the 2024 election. Former MLA YV Anjaneyulu, Rayapati family's Rayapati Rangababu, Kodela's son Sivaram and Nagothu Showraiah are in the fray.
On Sunday, YV Anjaneyulu group tried to erect banners and other festoons in connection with the party's foundation day. The group also erected several tents in the town. Activists belonging to Kodela Sivaram group attacked YV group and tore down the tents. Kodela Sivaram group is apprehensive about YV group's sudden activism.
Political observers say that Chandrababu's failure to decide on the constituency incharge has caused this confusion and the rival groups are making claims and counterclaims. All this has left the party cadre total confused and demoralised.
