TDP-Janasena Might Fight Elections Alone?
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 Jun 2023 10:30 PM ISTThe general elections in Andhra Pradesh will be held in 2024. Interestingly, all the major parties in the state want to come to power. The ruling YCP is clear on this and it will go to elections alone without any alliances. But what the opposition parties will do is the question here.
Both Janasena and Telugu Desam Party have a common enemy which is YSRCP and political observers say that parties might join hands to take on the ruling party. Earlier chiefs of the two parties hinted at the same. But things took an unexpected turn with both parties allegedly wanting to walk alone.
It appears that things are brewing well between the Telugu Desam Party and the parties might not walk together in the next elections. It is known that Pawan Kalyan earlier said Janasena will enter the Assembly this time and no one can stop the party.
But quickly, Pawan Kalyan changed his words and is asking people for one chance. His words reminded everyone of YS Jaganâs one chance before the 2019 elections. The question is whether people will trust Pawan Kalyan and make him the Chief Minister of the state.
Keeping the doubt aside, Pawan Kalyan is asking for one chance and this is not possible with the alliance. If TDP and Janasena are in alliance then Pawan cannot become CM as keeping a senior leader like Chandrababu aside is not possible practically. Many wonder if Pawan realised this and is seeking a chance.
Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu is also saying that the party should contest 175 seats and will come to power. TDP leaders are also saying that the party will win more than 160 seats in the next elections. Observers also say that TDP is trying to show its power with this.
The development is not expected in state politics. Many say that things did not go as planned between the parties and hence the parties are making such comments to clarify any further doubts and speculations on joining hands.
Earlier we heard reports that TDP-Janasena might go with power sharing in government and Janasena will be given some key portfolios as part of the alliance. Looking at the comments of both parties, it appears that nothing was sorted out as of now.
