TDP Leader Anitha's Biggest Headache
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 Sept 2020 12:52 PM ISTPolitics, it appears, is proving to be a rollercoaster ride for young TDP leader Anita. She had joined politics thanks to former Minister Ayyanna Patrudu's prodding. She had won the elections the very first time she contested. But soon, she changed sides and joined hands with another former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao. Since then, she was seen as a Ganta acolyte.
In 2019 elections, she was shifted from Payakaraopet in Vizag district to Kovvur in West Godavari district. Before she could adjust to the situation in Kovvur, she lost the elections. But, despite the defeat, Chandrababu Naidu made her a party spokesperson.
But, now she is facing another kind of problem. Since people are associating her with Ganta Srinivasa Rao, there are questions as to whether she is leaving the party along with Ganta. Every time, there are rumours about Ganta leaving the TDP, fingers are also being pointed at Anita. The former MLA is tired of explaining that she would be loyal to the TDP. She has been telling everyone who cared that she would remain in the TDP.
But, questions continue to pop up about her loyalty to the TDP. Meanwhile, Chandrababu has also made her the incharge of Payakaraopet constituency. She is now making it clear to everyone that she has no intention of leaving the party. But, no one seems to be believing in her.
