TDP Leaders Arrested For Duping Government, Farmers

A Telugu Desam leader and five others have been arrested for duping both the Government and the poor farmers. The incident occurred in Nellore district's Anikepalli. The arrested TDP leader has been identified as G Jayapal. Another TDP leader K Madhusudhan Rao is said to be the master mind of this scam.
According to the police, the two TDP leaders were buying paddy and rice at very low costs from the farmers in the area and later tok it to the rice procurement centre in NIdiguntapalem of Venkatachalam mandal. They claimed that they had cultivated the paddy and sold to the government at a higher price. During the routine checkup, their scam was detected. It was found that a rice miller was also involved in the crime.
The police arrested TDP leader K Madhusudhan Rao rice miller B Srinivasa Rao of Karlapalem in Guntur district and two others. Jayapal, the TDP leader, who is part of the scam is on the run. The police have launched a manhunt to arrest him.
