TDP leaders turn into BJP booth agents in Badvel

The YSRCP, which all along believed that Badvel bypoll was a virtual walkover, was shocked to see that the TDP has thrown its weight behind the BJP candidate. On Saturday morning, as the polling began, the YSRCP leaders were surprised to find that the TDP local leaders were sitting as BJP polling agents in all the booths.
Sources say that the BJP leaders who campaigned for the party had struck a deal with the TDP and sought the help of the TDP, which opted out of the contest, in appointing booth agents for all the booths. The village level TDP leaders were seen with BJP badge. This is being seen as a major victory for the BJP.
The YSRCP, which did not anticipate this development, appeared shocked. But the party regained composure and began getting its voters to the polling centres. The party is poised for a facile win in Badvel. The only point of interest is the majority.YS Jagan has asked the party leaders to secure a majority of more than 44000 votes. In 2019, the YSRCP candidate won by 44000 votes. So, Jagan wants to beat that record.
Interestingly, the YSRCP has decided not to distribute money to buy votes. The party did the same thing for Tirupati bypoll too. Despite that if the party wins by a bigger majority, it would be seen as a major victory for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
