AP CM Chandrababu Naidu informed Modi about the decision to quit his cabinet. It was after this phone conversation, The Two Ministers tendered their resignations.
On Thursday, Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Sujana Chowdary when to meet PM Narendra Modi in their personal vehicles for submitting their resignations. The Two MPs informed Modi about the consequences if the sentiments of the people are ignored.
Sujana Chowdary: 'When we went to submit our resignations, PM Modi informed us that he discussed about the demands of AP Government. He assured us that Centre will extend support to AP. After resigning, We have got the freedom to fight'.
Ashok Gajapathi Raju: 'Chandrababu Naidu took the right decision at the right time. National Parties failed to fulfill the promises made to AP since bifurcation'.
Resignations submitted by Civil Aviation Minister and Minister of State for Science & Technology has been approved on Thursday night. Even the resignations of Ministers Kamineni Srinivas and Manikyala Rao were approved.
BJP President Amit Shah collected feedback from AP In-charges about the ongoing developments and situation in the state. He even lobbied to make sure TDP withdraws its decision to submit resignations but the plan hasn't worked.
