TDP MLA's Dilemma: Vizag Or Amaravati?
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Aug 2020 8:43 AMVizag Urban TDP president and sitting MLA Vasupalli Ganesh is in a great dilemma. As a diehard TDP man, he has to support Chandrababu Naidu on Amaravati. But, as an MLA from north coastal Andhra region, he cannot shy away from supporting Vizag as administrative capital.
So, the MLA organized several meetings with the party workers and leaders on the issue. Finally, he came to the decision that he should adopt an innovative approach to the issue of three capitals. He has decided to say that Vizag and Amaravati were like two eyes for him. If Amaravati is the right eye, then Vizag is the left eye. In the local meetings, he would openly support Vizag as the capitals. At the state level, however, he would back Amaravati as the capital. However this plan of the MLA got leaked somehow.
Now the people are asking him about his two-eyes policy. They are reminding him that Chandrababu naidu had adopted a similar two-eyes strategy during the Telangana agitation. Then he said Telangana and Andhra were like his two eyes. He lost Telangana permanently and the AP rejected him lock stock and barrel five years later. The MLA has hard time explaining his position.
