TDP's 'Damage Control' Deekshas?
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 July 2018 6:27 AM GMTThe image of Telugu Desam Party got damaged with the comments made by it's MPs on Indefinite Fast. MPs ended up facing the wrath of party supremo Chandrababu Naidu for what they have done.
Currently, TDP seems to be implementing the damage control measures. MPs who mocked the hunger strike decided to participate in a day long deeksha for Visakha Railway Zone. Interestingly, Murali Mohan who expressed his willingness to sit on fast for a week to lose 5 kgs took part in the deeksha. May be, He should have reduced his target to 1/2 kg or 1 kg.
Railway Department denied permission for holding fast at Visakha Railway Station. So, TDP preferred Convent Junction near the Railway Station for conducting the one day deeksha.
The reason behind TDP's deeksha in Visakha could be Pawan Kalyan's ongoing Uttar Andhra tour and even YS Jagan's Padayatra will reach Visakha soon. Ruling Party might have planned it this way to counter the activities of political opponents.
