TDP to walk into YSRCP trap on Krishna water dispute

One political party that is deeply worried about the latest tiff between Telangana and AP over Krishna water sharing is Telugu Desam. Party insiders feel that this controversy over Krishna waters will leave it further weakened and further clueless.
The TDP thinking heads feel that with this issue, the YSRCP will emerge as a defender of Rayalaseema interests. The comments by TRS ministers that YSR is a 'donga' (thief) and Jagan is a 'Gaja Donga' (dacoit) will actually benefit the YSRCP. The TRS leaders are not even passively mentioning the name of either the TDP or that of its chief Chandrababu Naidu. Further, all that the TDP can do now is the fully support YSRCP on the issue of Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme. If it does not, it will alienate the voters of Rayalaseema, who feel that the project would be very useful for them.
Thus TDP finds itself caught in a cleft-stick. It can neither support nor oppose the YSRCP. Thus, the YSRCP has succeeded in setting a trap and leaving the TDP with no option but to walk into it.
