TDP Tries To Play Politics Over Dead Body

The Opposition Telugu Desam is finding itself in a fix. The AP Government is doing a fairly good job in controlling Corona. The lockdown and the quarantine are being implemented strictly and the spread of the virus has been significantly contained. So, the TDP has no pretext to criticise the YSRCP. Since there is a complete lockdown, there is little that the TDP could do and get publicity. As a result, despite having a huge media machinery to back it, it is unable to take advantage of.
So, when an old woman died due to ill-health in Dwarakanagar of Vizag, the TDP machinery went on an overdrive. It tried to portray it as the death caused due to exhaustion from standing long hours in the queue at the ration shop. This showed the failure of the AP Government, the TDP tried to argue. However, it soon came to light that the woman, identified as Meera Bi was bed-ridden for quite some time. She was unwell and died due to health reasons.
The YSRCP decried these attempts on the part of the TDP and said that the yellow media was trying to spread misinformation against the government. YSRCP MP Vijay Sai Reddy said that the TDP and its media are trying to politicise even the death of an old woman. Interestingly, the family members of Meera Bi have already lodged a complaint against the TDP for wrongly portraying the death the old woman.
