TDP trying to put old wine in new bottle!!

Is the Telugu Desam Party preparing for a generational change? If TDP watchers are to be believed, the party is all set to ring out the old generation and ring in the new. But, wait! Don't expect new faces. The new generation of leaders are wards or scions of the old leader and jaded leaders.

With most leaders in the TDP getting closer to 70, the party is now having a jaded look. Several leaders are unable to campaign vigorously and lead agitations. So, there is a dire need for young blood in the party. But, the problem is no new leaders are joining the party. The children and the relatives of the old leaders are all set to replace the seniors.

By next election, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy might prop up his son. Ditto with the Maganti family in West Godavari district. Rajahmundry MLA Butchaiah Chowdary is all set to promote his brother's son, while former finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu is set to push the case of his daughter. Key leaders like Rayapati, Kodela, Yarapatineni Srinivasa Rao, GV Anjaneyulu and Kommalapati Sridhar will be projected by 2024.

Sriram from Paritala family, JC Diwakar Reddy's son and children of KE Krishnamurthy too are all set to become active. Some have already contested the election in 2019 and their number is set to grow in 2024. Some say pushing of the younger leaders will help fight a younger Jagan Mohan Reddy. Yet others say that this is Chandrababu's way of eliminating any challenge to Nara Lokesh. All these young leaders will be obedient to Lokesh Babu.
