TDP Worried About Its State Office, Says YSRCP Will Demolish It
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 March 2020 11:10 AM GMTThe Telugu Desam Party, which has got some respite from the local body elections thanks to the court directive, is now focusing on other ways to attack the ruling YSRCP. Now, it has taken up the issue of its state headquarters.
Using the media favourable to it, the TDP is taking up the issue of its state headquarters. The party office was constructed on government lands and there have always been allegations that there were irregularities in the land allotment. The land is a Poramboke one and there are serious questions over the allocation and development of the land. Fearing that the YSRCP would take up this issue, the TDP has already decided to raise a ruckus on the issue and put the YSRCP government on the mat.
The TDP had got this land for a 33 year lease and Mangalagiri YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy has raised this issue several times in the past. So the TDP now wants to pre-empt any move to demolish the office and take back the land by going on the offensive. It feels that if the building goes, it can put up a 'We told you soâ pose and if nothing happens, it can always say that it's agitation has pushed the YSRCP onto the backfoot.
