Techie Searches For Escort Service, Scammed by Cyber Attackers!

But the practice is also seeing a jump in Telugu land now. One such incident came to light now. Based on the search history of the victim, the cybercrime happened.
Shockingly the crime was reportedly from Hyderabad and the victim is a techie. The concerned techie reportedly searched for a call girl online. When he opened the website he saw a WhatsApp number there and received a message from the number.
As the victim searched for escort services the fraudsters sent pictures of a few girls on WhatsApp and asked to send Rs 510 first. Later he was asked to pay money in a few installments and in total the techie lost around Rs 1.97 lakhs.
The victim realised that he was scammed after the call girl did not come to his house despite paying money and then moved the cyber cops. They have filed a complaint and started a probe to know further details about the case to nab the suspects.
At regular intervals, cops are appealing to common people to not open links from unknown numbers as the links will be redirected and they might lose their money. But people are not understanding this and they are falling prey to such baits. Moreover, the victim is a well-read person and is working as a techie.
