Teen Indian Shooter Claims Her Second Medal At Tokyo Paralympics

Her points toll of 445.9 in the finals helped her in winning the bronze. This is her second medal in the Paralympics. Her first medal was Gold she won in the category of R-2 women's 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1.’
The shooter had become the second athlete after Joginder Singh Sodhi to win more than one medal at a single edition of the tournament. Back in the 1984 Paralympics, he had won one silver and two bronze medals.
Twitter had bowed down to the teen shooter who made the country proud by winning the bronze at the event. Even the politicians and celebrities have joined the netizens to hail the shooter.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the shooter on her medal. He has wished her all the best for her future projects. Narendra Modi said he is elated by her performance.
"More glory at the Tokyo #Paralympics. Elated by the stupendous performance of @AvaniLekhara. Congratulations to her on bringing home the Bronze medal. Wishing her the very best for her future endeavours," the Prime Minister tweeted on Friday.
