Teen jailed for Selfie with Magistrate

Farad Ahmad, the teenager, tried to get too close to District Magistrate B Chandrakala for taking a selfie with her. Inspite of repeated warnings, He tried to take the perfect snap with the Magistrate and didn't bother to care even after being told prior permission is required. On grounds of getting too close, The youth was sent to judicial custody. He was jailed on Monday and released on bail Yesterday.
Responding on the issue, District Magistrate B Chandrakala said: 'Its shocking. Even if its his camera, He should have the consent of the person whom he is capturing'.
Chandrakala is a 2008 batch IPS Officer from UP. She became quite popular after taking stern action against contractors and officials for substandard road construction in 2014.
