Telangana Assembly lasts for just 8 Minutes

A special session of Telangana Assembly was convened on Sunday to pass a crucial bill. Surprisingly, The session lasted for just about 8 minutes.
Soon after the session began, Speaker Madhusudana Chary permitted Deputy CM & Revenue Minister Mohammad Ali to introduce the bill seeking Amendments to Land Acquisition Act. The bill was passed with voice vote without any hurdles as the Ruling Party have the support of over 2/3rd MLAs.
Telangana Government gave clear indication that no other issue will be discussed during the special session of Assembly. The session was meant only to approve the amendments recommended by Centre regarding the Land Acquisition Act. KCR and Speaker conveyed the matter to the Opposition Leaders during the BAC Meeting on Saturday itself. As a result, The house was adjourned soon after the passage of the bill.
