Telangana approves GST Bill

A special session of Telangana Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council has been convened on Tuesday for passing the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill.
Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari introduced GST Bill in Telangana Legislative Council. After which, The council passed it unanimously.
Whereas, Telangana Legislative Assembly had a debate on the GST Bill. Although MIM and Congress supported the Bill, Its Members sought clarification over the impact its going to have on Telangana.
BJP MLAs, on the other hand, expressed faith that GST Bill will be beneficial to the Telangana state in the long term.
Finally, Telangana Assembly has given its consent for the GST Bill. Chief Minister KCR claimed to be happy with the passage of GST in a unanimous manner.
