BJP lost deposits in over 100 out of 118 Assembly Constituencies it had contested in 2018 Elections. The National Party, however, had put up a spirited fight in four Lok Sabha Segments (Secunderabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Mahbubnagar) in the recent elections. It might even end up retaining the Secunderabad Parliament Seat (contested by Kishan Reddy) if it's lucky enough. In some of the Lok Sabha Segments, BJP managed to push Congress to the third position. It is now getting ready for agitations against TRS to emerge as an alternative by 2024.

Cops arrested K Laxman within hours after he begun the hunger strike. He was shifted to the NIMS Hospital in Hyderabad.
