Congress Could've Won Around 40 Seats if TDP..!
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 Dec 2018 7:29 AM GMTTelangana Congress Leaders reached a conclusion that alliance with TDP damaged the poll prospects of the party during 2018 Assembly Polls. They are against continuing the tie-up with Telugu Desam any longer.
In the internal meetings, T-Congress Leader Ravindra Naik opined: 'Prior to the elections, There used to be sympathy on the Congress Party. It eventually converted into anguish due to the alliance with TDP. Had if we contest elections only with the tie-up with TJS and CPI, Congress could have easily won another 20 seats. Tall claims made by Chandrababu Naidu during campaigning gave an impression that he received more prominence among the alliance partners. Telanganites are in no mood to allow Naidu dictate terms to them. At least now, We have to respect the views of people and plan accordingly'.
Voters in Rural Areas have been in favour of KCR due to the welfare and development schemes. Congress assumed voters in Urban Areas are in favour of it. The situation turned drastically after Chandrababu Naidu campaigned in Telangana aggresively. Students, Unemployed and Government Employees who were against TRS decided to give a second chance to KCR after this development.
MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy: 'Alliance with TDP affected the Vote Bank of Congress in Urban Areas. There is a huge impact on the Rural Areas as well. We will bring it to the notice of party high command & ensure there won't be any tie-up for Lok Sabha Polls 2019'.
Former MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy told Congress will have future only if some tough measures were taken by the time of Lok Sabha Polls.
