GR Radhika, a Telangana Police Officer, became the first Indian Woman to conquer the 7,077 m high Kun Mountain located in the Zanskar range of Himalayas in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Mountaineering Foundation officially declared Radhika is holding the rare record.

Radhika who is the currently serving as the Additional Superintendent of Police in Adilabad district of Telangana took 10 days to achieve the feat finally on September 7th. Speaking about the achievement, She reveals the fact that she was more like a tomboy since childhood and never feared to take risks or challenges. "Our Team consists of 7 Mountaineers. Five of them dropped half-way. I lost 4 kgs during this period," she said, apart from expressing her wish to scale Mount Everest.

Actually, GR Radhika succeeded in touring to Mansarovar and Mount Kailash. She also scaled 5,980 m high Golep Kangri peak in Zanskar range in 2013 and 6,443 m high Menthosa in Himachal Pradesh in 2014.

GR Radhika is a native of Anantapur. She quit her job as Teacher to become a Cop. She came to know about Mountaineering through one of her friends and never looked back ever since then.
