Telangana Crosses One Lakh Coronavirus Cases

Telangana on Friday reported 2,474 new positive cases as the overall tally has crossed the one lakh mark in the state. Now, the total Covid-19 infections stand at 1,01,865.
According to the health ministry, 7 people had died with Corona on yesterday taking the total death toll to 744. So far, 78,735 people have recovered from the disease while 22,386 cases are still active cases in the state.
According to the bulletin, the case fatality rate in the state was 0.73 per cent, while it was 1.89 per cent at the national level. The recovery rate in the state is at 77.29 per cent, while it was 74.30 per cent in the country.
As per the bulletin, 43,095 samples were tested on August 21. And, the total number of samples tested was 8,91,173. The samples tested per million population was 24,004, it said.
