DGP's Stern Warning To Kathi Mahesh

Telangana DGP Mahender Reddy on Monday stated Kathi Mahesh has become a threat to the society. 'People like Kathi Mahesh have been trying to create disharmony. Any plans to hurt the sentiments of majority of the people won't be tolerated. We banned Kathi Mahesh for six months from Hyderabad,' he said.
The Top Cop found fault with a TV Channel for repetitive debates with the intention to provoke people. He accused Kathi Mahesh of provoking people while taking part in such debates citing Freedom Of Speech.
Mahender Reddy maintained every individual have the freedom of speech as long as they don't hurt others sentiments. He warned, 'Mahesh Kathi will be arrested and sentenced to prison for 3 years if he enters into the city without police permission. Arrangements were done to shift Mahesh Kathi to his native place in Chittoor District. If needed, We would ban him from other districts of Telangana as well. He would be punished even if Social Media posts were placed & if express his views through news channels. If anybody supports him when he was making controversial comments, Even they will have to face the consequences. His comments were leading to a law & order situation,' he added.
Hyderabad Police served notices to News Channels which violated the Program Code. Channel Managements who violated cable tv laws could face two years jail term. An appeal has been made to religious organizations by DGP to maintain restraint.
