The road accidents and rash driving percentage took a sharp rise in Telangana, mainly in the pearl city Hyderabad. This year, during the new year celebrations, Hyderabad found a place in the list of cities with the highest road accidents and drunk and drives.

Following this, the Telangana government led by Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao aka KCR has decided to deal with the rash drivers and irresponsible drivers with an iron fist.

The Telangana police department has received the required instructions from the state government to work on a penalty based driving system so that the drivers will be careful.

The cops are using the digital system to impose fines for drivers currently. The data they have with them will be transferred to the Telangana Department of Transport. Based on the data, the driving licenses of drivers will be canceled.

Points will be allotted to the drivers based on the mistakes they make. Like, Drunk and drive, cell phone driving, and over speeding. If the drivers get 12 points within 24 months, their driving license will be canceled permanently.

Let us hope that, the drivers will drive responsibly on the roads at least fearing the driving license cancellation. Cyberabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar has recently said that, drunk and drive program will be conducted for one week as the New Year celebrations are fast approaching.
