Pandemic Dairies: Telangana Govt Imposes Night Curfew Starting From Today

Telangana has now joined the list of States/ Union Territories in the country that have imposed night curfew or lockdown restrictions as an effective measure to counter the Coronavirus crisis.
The Telangana government led by Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao has announced a night curfew in the state. The night curfew will come into effect from today.
According to the Government Order (GO) issued by the government, the night curfew will be imposed from 9 PM to 5 AM. Starting from today, the night curfew will be in effect till May 1st.
During the curfew period, people have to stay home. The government is imposing a night curfew based on the restrictions issued by the Union Government. Essential services will be spared from the curfew.
With night curfew coming into effect, the bars, pubs, and restaurants across the state will be shut down until further notice.
The Telangana government has imposed night curfew, a day after the High Court with a strong tone said, if the government won't take a call on the night curfew or lockdown, the court will have to make a decision.
During the night lockdown, the offices, shops, eateries, and other establishments will be closed by 8 PM. Hospitals, medical halls, and diagnostic labs will be operating without any restrictions.
