Telangana Minister Targets Ap Rulers Talking About Alluri

Freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju needs no introduction. Since our childhood, we have been reading about his heroics and a few old films had a few scenes where he was mentioned. The revolutionary's whole life was presented on the Silver screen for the first time when Super Star Krishna made a biopic on his life titled Alluri Seetarama Raju.
On such a celebrated personality, Telangana Excise Department Minister Srinivas Goud made sensational comments. The Cabinet Minister felt that the freedom fighter did not get his due credit at the national level. Srinivas Goud said the scene might have been different if he would have been born in Telangana land.
The Excise Minister made the comments while addressing a meeting that was held marking the 125th birthday of Alluri Sitaramaraju. Talking about the sacrifices he made, the Minister said that Alluri should have received more credit across the country.
Expressing his dissatisfaction over Alluri Sitaramaraju not having a national-level image, Srinivas Goud said that the discrimination towards South India would be the reason for this. Taking a small pause in his speech, the Minister sought the help of Union Minister Kishan Reddy in this regard.
The Telangana Cabinet Minister also took the opportunity to target the Andhra Pradesh rulers for not honoring the freedom fighter. Holding the Andhra Pradesh rulers for this, Srinivas Goud said, if Alluri had been a Telangana person, then a memorial would have been set up in the state spread across 24 acres.
Comparing situations between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the Minister said the situations have changed now and one acre of land around Hyderabad can be bought by selling 10 acres of land in Andhra Pradesh which used to be vice-versa.
The Kshatriya Seva Samiti, which organised the gathering had felicitated Super Star Krishna on the occasion. The Film Nagar Cultural Club became the venue for the celebrations. The reason for felicitating Krishna is to thank him for bringing a movie on Alluri's life.
The meeting saw some of the eminent people like Union Minister Kishan Reddy, Action King Mohan Babu, Yesteryear Superstar, who once served as MP Krishnam Raju, and others graced the occasion.
