Telangana, the 29th State of the country is now a reality. The Lok Sabha passed the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill 2013 with a voice vote on Tuesday. Although the Bill also needs to be passed by the Rajya Sabha, but it now looks a mere formality.

At 3: 20 pm, Speaker approved the Telangana Bill. The state has been divided into Seemandhra which will have 13 districts and Telangana which will have 10 districts.The Bill was passed by Lok Sabha by voice vote after 23 minutes of discussion.

Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde promised to allot required funds to build capital city in Seemandhra. Soon after passing the bill Congress president Sonia Gandhi walked out of the Lok Sabha.Sonia moves from the house when the voting on the amendments to the Telangana bill has been taking place

Telangana MP Ponnam Prabhakar has touched the feet of the Sonia Gandhi in the Lok Sabha for making separate Telangana into reality.
