The two parties gear up for the Municipal elections, which are going to be held on January 22nd and the results will be announced on 25th January. Telangana Rastra Samiti president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao held a meeting with MLA's, MP's, MLC's and other party leaders and said that concerned MLA's will be responsible if the candidates win or lose in Municipal elections. Chief Minister is confident that the TRS party will win the Municipal polls with a good majority and he told all the leaders to work hard to win the elections.
While the Congress party also started their poll campaign for Municipal elections. State Congress president Uttam Kumar Reddy addressed a preparatory meeting in Miryalaguda and said Chief Ministers across the country announced publicly that they would not implement the CAA and NRC in their states. Telangana Chief Minister maintained silence over the issue.
Last week, KTR held a meeting and said the Congress is their main contender and not BJP. Congress party cannot be ignored and it has a hundred years plus history.
