Telangana: One in every four were infected with Coronavirus!

The outcome of the survey is that one in every four people in Telangana has had the Coronavirus. This indicates that one in every four people has antibodies against the ongoing Coronavirus.
The NIN has conducted the previous serosurveys in May, August. The survey has found out sero prevalence of 0.33 percent and 12.5 percent in the first and second survey respectively. 24.1 percent prevalence was found out in the third survey.
The outcome of the serosurvey is a piece of good news for Telangana in terms of Covid-19 impact. Between August and December last year, the country's seroprevalence has gone up by 3.1 times, while the seroprevalence level saw a dip by two times.
ICMR-Nodal officer Dr. Laxmaiah has complicated the public for following the appropriate Covid-19 behavior like wearing facemasks, using handwash, and maintaining physical distancing outdoors.
Talking about the serosurvey, R. Hemalatha, NIN Director said that the main aim behind carried out the survey is to examine the Coronavirus transmission. The survey was carried out in Jangoan, Nalgonda, and Kamareddy districts.
