As many as 1,821 candidates have been contesting in 119 Assembly Constituencies in Telangana. Election Watch analysed the affidavits filed by 1,777 candidates testing their luck in the Early Polls. While 748 candidates (42 percent) are in the age group of 25-40, 845 (48 percent) are in the age group of 41-60. About 160 candidates (9 percent) are in the age group of 61-80. Only 136 Women (8 percent) have been contesting in this elections.

Top 3 Richest Candidates:

Munugodu Congress Candidate Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy is the richest candidate with assets worth Rs 314 crore (Rs 266 crore movable assets, Rs Rs 47.45 crore Immovable Assets). While Balkonda BSP Candidate Muthyala Sunil Kumar have net worth of Rs 182.66 crore, Nagar Kurnool TRS Candidate Marri Janardhan Reddy owns assets worth Rs 161.29 crore.

Poorest Candidates:

About 58 Candidates declared they have 'zero' assets. Nizamabad Urban Independent Candidate Balla Srinivas claimed to be having assets worth just Rs 15. Korutla Independent Candidate Jagilam Ramesh and Peddapalli Samajwadi Forward-Block Candidate Venu Gopal Reddy have assets worth Rs 500 each.

Liabilities:

Balkonda BSP Candidate Muthyala Sunil Kumar claimed to be having liabilities of Rs 144 crore. While Paleru Congress Candidate Upendar Reddy have liabilities of Rs 94 crore, Nagar Kurnool TRS Candidate Marri Janardhan Reddy have debts to the tune of Rs 63 crore.

Earnings:

Mancherial BJP Candidate Raghunath claimed to have earned Rs 41 crore. While Nagar Kurnool TRS Candidate Marri Janardhan Reddy have Rs 8 crore earnings, Narayanpeta TRS Candidate Rajendar Reddy mentioned about his Rs 7 crore earnings in the affidavit.

107 TRS Candidates, 86 BJP Candidates, 79 Congress Candidates, 26 BSP Candidates and 12 TDP Candidates are crorepatis. Average of Assets owned by all the candidates is about Rs 3.29 crore.
