Telangana Reports 1718 New Cases, Total Toll Nearing The 2-lakh Mark

Coronavirus related infections in Telangana rose to over 1.97-lakh mark after the state witnessed 1718 fresh cases in the past 24 hours. The fresh cases have come down.
For the past few days. Telangana has been witnessing around and more than 2,000 fresh cases daily at an average.
In the last 24 hours, 49,084 samples were tested in the state and 1718 patients were found to have contacted the virus. The caseload of the state rose to 1,97,327.
According to the data released by the health ministry, as many as 2002 patients were declared cured of the virus, which pushes the recovery toll to 1,67,846. There are 28,328 active cases in the state.
In a single day, eight patients succumbed t the virus, taking the toll of the total casualties in connection with novel Coronavirus in the state to 1153. The state has a mortality rate of 0.58 percent.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) continues to be the worst-affected region with the Corona outbreak in the state followed by Medchal, Malkajgiri, and Ranga Reddy districts.
