Telangana Reports 2579 fresh COVID cases in the last 24hours

Telangana continues to fear the novel Coronavirus as the state has been reporting over 2,000 fresh daily for a week. With the addition of fresh cases, the total cases rose to over 1.8 lakh-mark.
In the last 24 hours, Telangana added 2579 fresh pandemic, which takes the toll of the total cases in the state to 1,08,670. With 9 fresh casualties, total fatalities mounted to 770.
As per the health bulletin issued by the health department, 52933 samples were tested for the virus and as of now, 10,21,054 samples have been tested in the state.
On a brighter note, 1752 patients have been cured of the virus taking the total recoveries to 84,163. The recovery rate rose to 77.44 percent, which is higher than in India. Active cases stood at 23,737.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) region reported the highest number of cases in a single day followed by Ranga Reddy and Khammam with 186 and 161 cases respectively.
