The situation went terribly wrong in India with the second wave of the Coronavirus. The burning issues like shortage of vaccine doses and hospitals running low on oxygen are making the fight against the Coronavirus hard.

Considering the seriousness of the shortage of vaccine doses, Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajender locked horns with the Union Government. He slammed the Centre over lesser allotment of Remdesivir.

In his recent press briefing, the Health Minister breathed fire on the Centre on the vaccine allotment and questioned why the government is allotting fewer doses of drugs when it is manufactured in the state.

Rajender said when the Telangana government is expecting to receive around four lakh doses of the antiviral drug, the Centre has allocated just over 21,000 doses from April 21-30.

The Health Minister questioned, what authority does the Centre have to allocate homegrown antiviral drug doses in fewer numbers to Telangana. Based on what grounds, the Centre is providing fewer doses for us, he asked.

He even claimed that Remdesivir drug produced in Telangana were being allotted to the states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, and national capital Delhi. Centre is also allotting less medical oxygen to us, he said.
