Telangana Welcomes First Female CS In The Form Of Senior IAS!

It is known that Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar was directed to go to Andhra Pradesh by the High Court a few days back. Quashing the orders issued by the CAT the Court said that he should go to the other Telugu state as he was allocated the Andhra cadre earlier.
With no option left the Telangana government started looking at the alternative and picked senior IAS officer A Santi Kumari for the post. Though a few names are said to be considered for the big post the female IAS officer has been selected.
The Chief Minister's Office announced that Shanti Kumari has been selected as the new Chief Secretary of the state. This makes her the first female Chief secretary of the state. Wishes are pouring in for the new Chief Secretary.
Santhi Kumari is a senior IAS officer of the 1989 batch. It is said that she is an MBA graduate and went to a prestigious college for a degree in America. In her career, she held key positions in many fields like Forest, Medical, and Skill development. She served as the Principal Secretary at the CMO earlier and also held the Special Secretary post at the TS IPass.
Somesh Kumar played a big role during his stint as the Chief Secretary in implementing the schemes the government brought. Santhi Kumari replaced him and we have to wait and see how she holds the big position. The general elections are fast approaching and it appears that she will have a tough period ahead. She will serve in the new position till 2025.
