Actor arrested in Anchor's Death Case

Television Actor Vikram Chatterjee was arrested in Kolkata in connection with the death case of Model-cum-Anchor Sonika Chauhan.
At around 3.30 AM on April 29th, Vikram Chatterjee was driving Sonika Chauhan home after attending a party. The car hit the pavement and turned upside down. This mishap led to the death of the Model.
Although he & Sonika were seen holding drinks in their hands at two clubs before the car crash, Vikram initially denied getting drunk. He, however, confessed consuming alcohol during the interrogation. Even there is buzz that Vikram was driving the vehicle at a high speed.
Vikram Chatterjee was charged with causing death due to rash and negligent driving which attracts a maximum punishment of 2 years. He could even face 10 years jail term if Section 304 (Culpable Homicide not amounting to Murder) is included in the chargesheet.
