Telugu Families In 'Fiction' Trap

Fiction is one genre that is not a crazy theme in Indian film industries. Our audiences are showing interests in comedy and sentiment from long time but not these fantasy and fiction flicks. But, Telugu audience seem different.
According to the TRP ratings, the top three flicks that are watched by most audiences in Telugu channels are fiction stories only. Magnum opus and fantasy period fiction 'Magadheera' stands top with a TRP rating of 22, while science fictions 'Robo' and 'Eega' occupy second and third slots with 19 and 18 points, when they are telecast for the first time on TV. This happens to be an all time record and that's why our directors are saying that Telugu family audiences are in a 'fiction' trap. Then most directors would be attempting such inventive ideas in the future as channels are getting ready to pay huge bucks for satellite rights after looking at these statistics.
Anyway, director Rajamouli will be on cloud nine as the two films in Top-3 list, including Magadheera and Eega belong to him. Well, Rajamouli is defining the power of his creative imagination not just on silver screen but also on small screen too!
