Tendulkar scores big for Kandriga

Legendary cricketer Sachin saw pinnacles of his career when he was playing for the country. His records speak loudly for him. Even after retiring from cricket Sachin is ruling hearts of many with his works.
Its known that Sachin who responded to PM's Adarsh Gram Yojana initiative has adopted a village, Puttamraju Kandriga in Nellore District of Andhra. Now among all the villages which were adopted by celebrities from different areas Kandriga stands first in terms of its developmental parameters.
Each and every household has water supply of its own. The village panchayat has offered the employment to several youths. The development has prompted the 100 youths who had migrated to other places in search of work for returning to their native place. The village had no electricity and AP Power Distribution Company sets up an 11 KV feeder and now the village now has 24-hour power supply.
A community centre was built with Rs. 1.15 crore. An anganwadi school building was built at a cost of Rs. 9 lakh and an amount of Rs. 74 lakh was spent to construct a government school. On a whole village has witnessed over 6 crores worth of developmental works.
A budget of Rs 6 crore has been spent for the works. The cricketing legend contributed with Rs 2 crore from his MP’s fund while Rs 4 crore were polled from other government schemes.Nellore joint collector Md Imtiaz revealed this while speaking at seminar took place in Bhopal
