Tense situation at Karnataka-Maharashtra border

With the on-going border disputes between Karnataka and Maharashtra over Belgaum, the bus services from Kolhapur of Maharashtra to Karnataka were suspended. This dispute is not a new thing.
On the grounds of linguistic grounds, Maharashtra is claiming Belgaum, a district of Karnataka which was once a part of Bombay Presidency.
Earlier this month Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has appointed Chhagan Bhujal and Eknath Shinde to overlook the government's efforts in this dispute with Karnataka.
"All bus services from Kolhapur to Karnataka have been suspended since Saturday midnight as a precautionary measure," a senior police officer said.
According to some reports, a few days back Bhimashankar leaders of Karnataka Navnirman Sena allegedly said that MES(Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti) leaders should be shooted on the state borders reportedly.
During the winter season of Maharashtra Assembly, CM Uddhav said, "The Central government has taken Karnataka's side and ignored Maharashtra in the legal battle before the Supreme Court...it was going on for the last five years and everyone was kept in the dark".
