Chikoti Praveen needs no introduction for Telugu people. Earlier, he was in the news with the gambling row allegedly involving big mount and big shots. The issue became a sensation back then that the ED had to step in and conduct searches in multiple places. After the issue happened, the opposition TDP alleged that Chikoti Praveen might have been behind the Gudivada Gambling row. However, he said that the opposition party is trying to make the issue political.

Yet again Chikoti Praveen hit the headlines for the wrong reasons as he was arrested by the Thailand police earlier this week. When the police busted a gambling gang, more than 80 people were arrested including Chikoti Praveen. Police raided the Asia Pattaya Hotel in Bang Lamung district after getting the information.

His arrest became a sensation here as the media outlets here lashed out at him, saying that he did not change his behaviour. Another reason for the sensation around the news is that a BRS leader was also involved in this and the Police received information when the leader fought with a staff member at the hotel.

Amid this, Chikoti Praveen finally reacted to this and alleged a conspiracy against him. He said that people are targeting him and spreading fake news around him and also rubbished the news that he paid a big amount to come out.

He mentioned a few reasons to back his statements. He asked why his passport was not blacklisted if he has done anything wrong. Rubbishing the reports, Praveen said that he did not conduct the gambling activities but attended the activities after getting an invitation. Contrary to what many think, I did not pay Rs 50 lakhs to come out of the case, he said.

Gambling is banned in Thailand and they impose strict punishment on people if they are found participating in the events. However, he and a few others were given bail in the case. Reports say that around 100 people who went with them for the activities escaped as they left Thailand a day before the gang was busted at the hotel.
