Thanks To Corona, Air Quality Improves In India

It's not just suspension of all activities and confinement of every citizen to his or her home. There are advantages too of Corona lockdown. One major benefit is the sudden decrease in the air pollution levels across the country.
All major cities in the countries, including the national capital of Delhi have shown a vast improvement in the air quality. The air quality index for 104 major cities in the country shows the same kind of dramatic improvement. In Delhi the air quality index has touched 77 points. This shows that the 2.5 PM Particulate Matter, Nitrous Oxide and other pollutants have come down significantly. Similar data has been reported from big cities like Mumbai, Pue, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
The Central Pollution Control Board issues the air quality reports for 104 cities in the country on a daily basis. This dramatic improvement is mainly because all the vehicles are off the roads due to the 21 day lockdown imposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to control the spread of Corona virus.
