WWE Wrestler 'The Great Khali' stood as centre of attraction during the nomination rally of BJP's Jadavpur Candidate Anupam Hazra. The Champion Wrestler was able to draw massive crowds while he passed by in an open jeep.
Anupam Hazra claimed Khali offered to campaign for him only because of their close bonding and he has never done any such favour to other politicians. This BJP Candidate was a professor at Vishvabharti University.
Addressing the crowd, Khali told: 'I have come here all the way from America to support My Friend. Give Anupam Hazra an opportunity raise people's issues in Parliament by voting for him. Modi is a good Prime Minister...He has done so much for the nation. I feel proud of him'.
In 2014, Anupam Hazra emerged victorious contesting from Bolpur Constituency on TMC Ticket. Mamata Banerjee sacked him in January this year for anti-party activities. He is now contesting on BJP Ticket from West Bengal. TMC fielded popular Bengali Actress Mimi Chakravarthy against Anupam Hazra in 2019 Polls.
