When it comes to alcohol, Beer is cited as a starter, and those who want to start drinking often starts with beer only. Usually, beer sales will be high and other hard drinks sales will be less.
But the recent data collected in Andhra Pradesh shows us an entirely different story. The consumption of beer in Andhra Pradesh went down by 60% which is quite surprising.
This data raises many questions on whether the public of Andhra Pradesh starting disliking Beer or developing a new liking for the hard drinks like Whiskey, Brandi, Vodka as they might have thought that Beer is too old school.
The overall consumption of alcohol in the state went down by 30%. This might be the result of the CM Jagan's plan to ban liquor in the state completely but in phases not at once.
The liquor shops in some states reopened after the Centre gave some relaxations to the states as the nationwide lockdown which was imposed in the third week of March entered the third phase.
